In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, lands a high-profile job she’s not suited for, with tectonic implications for her marriage and her political future. The producers convinced the American and British governments to let them use real-life locations as filming locations for the series, including the still-new American embassy (in Nine Elms), which opened in 2018.

The only location that was unavailable was Winfield House, the royal residence of the American ambassador. Although it’s accurately described as occupying the largest residential plot (11 acres) in London outside Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming purposes.
As hard as it may seem to believe, this series is also “new” It’s truly original—it’s never been done before
Halfway through the first episode, something more significant happens, and somehow the creators of this drama managed to convince the people who make the trailers not to include it – or even allude to it. I’m only halfway through the second episode, but I can already tell that this is not like other shows or books in the spy/thriller genre.
The acting is very, very believable
It’s also somewhat refreshing because it’s not dominated by the kind of paranoia that plagues Australians and others. The writing is deft; plot and dialogue flow together perfectly.
